Vsevolod Chentsov, Head of the Mission of Ukraine to the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community, was appointed Kyiv’s top diplomat in Brussels in August 2021.
On call around the clock since Russia launched its full-scale invasion against Ukraine on 24 February, he has been at the center of political and defense cooperation with the EU.
Throughout his extensive service, Ambassador Chentsov has significantly contributed to Ukraine’s diplomatic relations through the positions he held as Director of the European Union Department of the MFA of Ukraine, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Representative of Ukraine to the Organisation on Prohibition of the Chemical Weapons, among others. Chentsov graduated from the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv in 1996 with a degree of law.
